Non-surgical treatments to refresh and rejuvenate your appearance.

Facial Aesthetics

Facial aesthetics covers non-surgical treatments that soften the signs of ageing and refresh the way the face looks. Our clinicians provide them in a clinical setting, and every course begins with a consultation in person, where we discuss what is right for you, whether you want a subtle change or a more noticeable one.

Why see a dental clinician

Dentists train for years in the anatomy of the face: its muscles, nerves and blood vessels. They give injections every working day, work under clinical standards of hygiene and consent, and are regulated and insured. Treatment is carried out in a surgery, with your medical history taken first and the equipment and training to deal with a complication.

The consultation comes first

Nothing is treated at the first conversation unless it is right to. The clinician asks what you would like to change and why, takes your medical history, examines your face at rest and in movement and explains which treatments could help, which would not, and what a realistic result looks like. You are told about the risks, the alternatives, including doing nothing, and the cost, and you are given time to think. Which treatment, if any, is suitable for you is decided at that consultation and nowhere else.

Treatments we talk through

  • Dermal fillers, which restore volume and soften folds in areas such as the cheeks, the lips and the lines from nose to mouth. Most are based on hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the skin, and they are broken down gradually by the body.
  • Consultations for lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows and around the eyes, where the clinician assesses the area and explains the options.
  • Skin treatments aimed at texture, tone and hydration.

Results are temporary and vary from person to person. How long they last depends on the treatment, the area and you.

Is it right for you

These treatments are for adults: by law, cosmetic fillers are not given to anyone under 18. They are not carried out in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, during a skin infection in the area, or where your medical history makes them unsafe. If we think a treatment will not give you what you are hoping for, we will tell you.

Afterwards

Some redness, swelling or bruising at the injection sites is common and settles within days. You are given written aftercare advice and a way to contact us. A review appointment checks the result. Complications are uncommon but real, among them infection, lumps, asymmetry and, rarely, a blocked blood vessel, which is why it matters who treats you and where.

Common questions

Will I look different? The aim of most patients is to look rested, not changed. You set the brief.

Does it hurt? A fine needle and numbing cream or local anaesthetic keep discomfort low.

Can I have treatment on the day? Only where the consultation shows it is appropriate. Time to think between the consultation and the treatment is good practice.

How do I book? Ask for a consultation. There is no obligation to go ahead.
